Many thanks to David and Emma Lomas, our hosts for another very successful Simulated Shoot Day on Sunday 1st October. The usual good humour overcame some fairly persistant drizzle as teams of beaters and pickers-up practiced their craft on a variety of dummies and cold game together with live birds in knee-high kale to test steadiness. Thanks are also due to Graham Dibble and his team of committee members and other helpers who combined to make the day run smoothly: I’m sure everyone will look forward to a repeat next year.
