The North Molton Shoot was the venue for our Open Retriever Working Test held by kind permission of Headkeeper Robert Mitchell and the North Molton Syndicate on Sunday 2nd April. A gorgeous early April day in lovely surroundings was a great start to the summer programme for the Club. The tests had been set by Gordon Hewitt and Geraldine Davis which were unchanged by the judges Nick Coates, Helen Ford and Charlotte Weir.
A good entry of competitors had to demonstrate their all round ability which many did, resulting in only very small differences in the marks of the top dogs. The top three were ‘on ice’ but a run off was needed to decide on fourth place.
